Dawson Beattie leads CreditEureka as President and founder. He has helped companies navigate international credit markets through nearly 20 years of shifting market conditions. He has helped companies in retailing, mining, technology, life sciences, and agriculture.
Dawson brings customers a unique and valuable perspective when seeking accounts receivable risk management solutions. He has worked as a buyer, underwriter, and broker of trade credit & political risk insurance. Notably, he led Wells Fargo Bank’s launch of its AR Put product as national sales manager.
Dawson began his career in New York with Citibank’s Global Trade Finance division in 1994. In 1996, he joined Citicorp International Trade Indemnity as a structured credit underwriter for trade credit & political risk insurance programs for global banks and corporations. (Scale and scope reference)
In 2001, Dawson joined Aon Risk Services in San Francisco as West Region Sales Manager for trade credit insurance.
In 2005, he joined Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, Inc. to lead the development of a specialty practice focused on trade credit & political risk insurance. In 2007, he joined Wells Fargo Securities as national sales manager to roll out and lead a new structured credit products business for Wells Fargo. There he helped companies protect against bankruptcy risk on their auction rate securities, commercial leases and accounts receivable during the 2007 — 2008 financial market collapse.
Following Wells Fargo Bank’s acquisition of Wachovia, Dawson returned to Wells Fargo Insurance Services again leading the trade credit & political risk insurance specialty practice.
Today, as President & Founder of CreditEUREKA, Dawson is in his favorite role of providing his customers whole, integrated credit solutions that span the financial services marketplace to help them succeed in growing revenue (at home or internationally), while actively managing the risk of loss.
Dawson is a graduate of Furman University, and studied abroad at Kansai Gaidai Daigaku, Osaka. He holds a masters degree in business from Thunderbird’s Graduate School of International Business. Dawson and his family make their home in San Francisco, CA.
